Ad Campaign Rules For Campaign Automation

Scaling your Amazon account requires a lot of manual work and attention to detail. Fortunately, the platform allows some automation. For example, using Budget rules is one way to reduce manual effort.

These rules can be helpful for adjusting campaigns on two common occasions.

Before big shopping events or when you observe a trend in your performance metrics.

This is why you have Schedule-based rules and Performance-based rules.

Apply Scheduled-based rules around events like Prime Day, Black Friday, or Christmas. Targeting your audience in a period that yields more sales will improve your results.

Or use Performance-based rules to automatically increase your budget based on data from the previous 7 days. Amazon will take metrics like your ACOS, CTR, or CVR to scale your campaigns.

To take advantage of these rules to the fullest, don't forget that:

  • You can set more than one rule per campaign.
  • Performance-based rules only work with a daily budget of more than $10.
  • Active rules will be evaluated daily to calculate the next day's budget.
  • If all the active rules are passed, the budget will be increased for the next day based on the % defined.
  • If more than one rule meets the conditions, then the rule with the highest budget increase will be applied.
