First things first! What is the strike-through price?

It is a visible discount from “the manufacturer’s” recommended retail price, commonly used as part of Amazon’s pricing strategy. It also allows you to display the original price of your product with a strike-through line and the discount price next to it.

What are the 3 ways to get the strike-through?

  • Sell one or multiple products at their full price

It has to be your recommended retail price or RRP/MSRP. Lower that price, and you will get the strike-through, which can contribute to Amazon product listing optimization by increasing price appeal.
